Typically, a pinch is inhaled into the nostrils. It may also be held between the lip and gum or cheek.

WHO USES:

In 2000, U.S. prevalence of current (used within the past 30 days) smokeless tobacco use (includes both snuff and chewing tobacco) for those 12 years old and over was 3.4%: 6.5% of males and 0.5% of females

PROCESSING / MANUFACTURING:

Tobacco is fire-cured, then fermented and processed into a dry, powdered form. The moisture content of the finished product is less than 10%. It is packaged and sold in small metal or glass containers
